"The Slavic Woman's Farewell" ©, 2014 - Translation from Ukrainian version

From my past works and collection (e.g. http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-1136473
"We will never fall down at knees
We are able to restore brotherhood ..."

Ukrainian Adaptation of "The Slavic Woman's Farewell" is now available in English. The Ukrainian author doing her Ukrainian version of the powerful march has found and spontaneously underlined light differences in mentality of that 360 years one folk ... And they are, just funny:

"Farewell, my darling glance,.." - Russian version says about feelings of a true love in mind and

"Farewell, my household and yard,.." - Ukrainian version says about "real estate", kind of in mind for business ...

Any questions about getting crazy before of "equal opportunities of a market economy" and followed crisis? That is. Just a fun. Europe, in its turn, has changed its mind equally easy a long time ago and cares about how to keep its own well being, maybe, to survive its unity. That is. This is K.R.E.S.T. Project in what site you are in now.

Well, let's see what is "Ukrainian Farewell" about...

1
There is solemn moment of farewell ...
Homeland was affected by flame
We were called to perform the commitment
We cannot live in darkness for life

2
The platform of rail-station in anxiety
Parting was with the brother and dad
In long tour do not lose each other
Welcome back being alive, as we wait

R
Farewell, fatherland
Commemorate all of us
Farewell, my household and yard,
Not everybody will come back

3
They fly and fly, my years
Not every soldier came to home
The only flashing stars,
As waves in ocean,
Appeared for them in the cold sky
The only flashing stars
As waves in ocean,
Appeared for them in the cold sky

4
The Nazis horde appeared uncounted
They trod the fields and oppressed our folk
Around plains grew plenty graves
And rye was blazed with a huge of smoke

5
We will never fall down at knees
We are able to restore brotherhood
Being so suffering for a freedom
In the crisis we'll keep homeland

R
Farewell, fatherland
Commemorate all of us
Farewell, my household and yard,
Not everybody will come back

6
With "Slavyanka" we went to a fight
Marsh "Slavyanka" sounds tocsin
We drove those all the Nazis to West
With "Slavyanka" we came home back

7
ETERNAL GLORY TO HERO-SOLDIER
HE DEFENDED HIS FOLK IN THE FIGHT
AND HE BROUGHT BEFORE US HOLY VICTORY
SLAVIC SOLDIER, HE HAS ALL WITHSTOOD!

P.S. I my singing interpretations I support the peaceful wording, as much as possible. This is because the main point in the song is FAREWELL, but military fighting. But in this interpretation into English I felt comfortable to keep original Ukrainian language as much as possible, with the only change "Germany" to "Nazis" when in the words "Клятий ворог топтав наші ниви, Поневолив і села, й міста" is mentioned Nazism in WWII, so I used citation to name that enemy from English version of "The Holy War" by A.Аrtemov.
